2nd Tuesday Monthly ● 1:00 pm Payson Womans Club Building 510 W. Main Street ● Payson Arizona Every 4th Tuesday we have a luncheon at 11:30 am
The Payson Womans Club is the oldest club in Payson! Started in 1921, with a Charter Membership of 32 dedicated and very hardworking women, and incorporated in 1922 -- One of our first goals was to establish a public library for the Town of Payson, which had a population of 150 at the time. When the library was moved to its present location, the Womans Club donated over 40,000 books to the new library. We own the Pioneer Cemetery and have a sub-committee of the oldest family taking care of it. We also donate to the Senior Center; Clothe-a-Child, Hospice and the Payson Rodeo. We also provide Nursing Scholarships, Guardian Angel necklaces, reading programs and craft classes for young girls.
All money raised is kept in Payson and used to support local organizations, projects and activities.
We are in the process of forming a Junior Club for women who work and would like to help the committee. The meetings will be held in the evenings, 1 night a month.
We are excited to offer craft classes for young girls 1 day a month after school. The classes are for girls age 7-12 and there is no charge for the classes.
If you would like to become involved in this wonderful, well established organization, make new friends and help our community, we would love to have you join us.
