Payson Community Kids, Inc. a nonprofit organization that assists families and helps children. The Payson Community Kids organization helps area children become good citizens through community involvement; provides food, clothing, school supplies and basic needs to underserved children and their families; arranges for special class instruction ranging from art - to music - to sports - to community services and everything in between; we provide the children & their families with opportunities to become involved in community projects; and also introduce adult role models into their lives by encouraging the children to get involved with area church groups and service organizations.
We are proud of the positive effects this program has had on area children, especially in the area of improving their grades at school and overall general behavior. We also offer a year round after school program, and also encourage the children to grow spiritually by providing them an opportunity to participate in church services on Sundays. We have also partnered with the Central Arizona Board of Realtors in providing needed repairs to homes and trailers of low-income families.
Payson Community Kids, Inc. operates chiefly with the assistance of volunteers, which allows us to offer our programs and services at a minimal cost. Our volunteers work with the children on a regular basis, help with meals & after-school programs and actively participate in many of our fundraising projects. We welcome anyone with a positive attitude, and the desire to help young people grow into responsible adults, to join our program.
