Our state-of-the-art 40 bed acute rehabilitation hospital specializes in the care of patients who suffer from any of the following:

 

 

Results from the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility study showed that patients who are admitted to an acute rehab hospital versus a skilled nursing facility are more likely to be discharged into the community in a shorter amount of time and have a high functioning level.

General Information:

 

Rehabilitation Specialists:  It is the job of the rehabilitation specialists to:

1. Complete an assessment in a timely manner.

2. Obtain authorization from the patients insurance.

3. Work with the patient's family, case managers, physicians, specialists and the hospital to coordinate intake.

4. To present accurate, thorough information to the hospital's Medical Director.

5. To set-up transportation to the hospital if the patient qualifies for the program.

Transportation:  Mountain Valley Hospital is equipped to provide transportation to this facility from any location.  The transportation time is approximately 1-hour 45-min (approximately the same distance from Payson to Scottsdale)

 

Referrals:  Referrals can come from the hospital, a skilled nursing facility, a physician, from the family of a patient or the patient themselves.

 

Once admitted, patients receive 24-hour nursing care and 3 hours-5 days a week of physical therapy.  Mountain Valley Regional Rehab Hospital has 3 doctors who can round on a patient 7-days a week if needed and are available 24-hours a day.  The hospital is also equipped to accommodate families who wish to say with their loved ones.
