Mission Statement:   

To promote health education opportunities for members of the communities of Payson, Pine, Strawberry, and the surrounding areas through programs, activities, and grants.

General Information:

Mogollon Health Alliance is a non-profit 503C-1 organization serving the Rim communities since 1954.The majority of the services we provide and projects we sponsor rely on monies received from fundraisers, public donations, grants, donations to our thrift shop, etc. for their success.

Community Projects:

• Annual Sponsorship of Women's Wellness Forum and Community Health Fair.

• Sponsorship of Children's Health Fair, Bicycle Rodeo, Car Seat Inspections, Children's Safety First.

• Funding and facilitating Lifesavers CPR classes for the general public.

• Operate LA Boutique, a gift shop at Payson Regional Medical Center and the Almost New Shop, a thrift store at 304 E Aero Dr.

• Manage a volunteer and volunteer Program at Payson Regional Medical Center.

Community Services:

• MHAX III Cardiopulmonary Exercise Program located at Payson Athletic Club.

• Yearly health-related scholarships for high school students and adults.

• Grants to Rim area fire departments for medical education of personnel.

Volunteer Opportunities:

#1  The MHA Almost New Thrift Shop is in need of volunteers to help sort clothes and cashier.

 

Volunteers work a four hour shift. The thrift store is open Monday through Saturday with a four hour shift in the morning and a four hour shift in the afternoon.

 

We have openings on all shifts. What a great way to meet new people and help raise funds for our scholarship program!

#2  The MHA Auxiliary Arts and Crafts group is look for 'crafty ladies' who enjoy making handmade items from a variety of materials.

 

The group meets every Monday morning from 9-Noon in the Activity Center next to the Almost New Thrift Shop.

We have a Christmas sale of the items in November and a craft sale in the Spring. All monies raised go to our scholarship and grant programs. Come and see what everyone is sewing, gluing, crocheting and painting!
