The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

The Boy Scout Troop has recently adopted the section of street on the north side of Wal-Mart. One of the boy’s, Nathan Randau, Eagle project involves working with the forest service and the fire department in bringing awareness of the extreme fire danger that is expected during the summer and a promotion for individuals in outlying areas to clean up the dry brush on their property. When one boy has an Eagle project, other boys in the Troop pitch in to help their fellow Scout in his endeavors.
