Payson Police Department will kick off the 25th Annual "National Night Out" by hosting a
FREE family western-themed day of fun, live music, youth games, entertainment,
prize winning contests and most importantly crime and drug prevention

25th ANNUAL "NATIONAL NIGHT OUT"
TUESDAY ● AUGUST 5th ● 7:00-10:00 PM
On
this night, we are asking that Payson residents participate
in creating a special event within their own neighborhood.
National Night Out will involve over 11,000 communities from
all 50 states, U.S. Territories, Canadian cities and
military bases around the world. In all, over 35
million people are expected to participate. (See more

National Night out is
designated to: (1) Heighten crime and drug prevention
awareness; (2) Generate support for, and participation in,
local anticrime efforts; (3) Strengthen neighborhood spirit
and police-community partnerships; and (4) Send a message to
criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized
and fighting back.

on hand selling food, snacks and drinks. We invite local businesses, clubs,
churches, and organizations to get involved and join our effort in crime and
drug prevention by sponsoring an
event or an information booth.

a Neighborhood Event
TUESDAY ● AUGUST 5th ● 7:00-10:00 PM
IT'S A NEIGHBORHOOD THING!
On this night, residents in neighborhoods
throughout Payson and across the nation, are asked to lock
their doors, turn on outside lights and spend the evening
outside with neighbors and police. Many neighborhoods
throughout Payson will be hosting a variety of special
events such as block parties, cookouts, visits from local
police officers, flashlight walks and anticrime rallies.

promote awareness, safety and neighborhood unity. National Night Out showcases
the vital importance of police-community partnerships and citizen involvement in
our fight to build a safer nation. On August 5th, we invite neighborhoods
